California-based hot dog franchise Wienerschnitzel said Thursday (Sept. 15) it will open its second Northwest Arkansas location on Saturday in Springdale. The restaurant is at 4726 Mercy Lane, just off the Elm Springs Road exit west of Interstate 49. Tejas Dogs, the Texas-based franchisee, opened its first Wienerschnitzel location in Bentonville (1530 E. Centerton Blvd.) in June. The group has a multi-unit development plan to open 20 stores in Arkansas over the next several years. Business partners Mike Smith and Alvin Fults own Tejas Dogs.
